5 Studying Tips For Busy Students

Hello, hello! I’m so glad you stopped by today. Today I wanted to share with you some ways to help improve your study time. Wherever you work, whether at school, at home (homeschool!), at the library, at college, or anywhere else you might be working on stuff.

It often feels like it’s a never-ending cycle of papers, problems, and reading. The feeling of waking up and doing the same thing over and over again. However, I wanted to share with you some ways to look at your school work, as well as do it, in a manner that encourages a little more enjoyment. After all, as students right now, we are completing this kind of work five days a week (or more,) so why not try and spice it up?

I know it’s not gonna be all sunshine rainbow. Trust me, some days are loooooong,:) but I wanted to share this post hoping that these tips might help brighten up your school routine. I hope you enjoy!

5 Study Tips

1. The reason I recommend only listening to background music is that it is easy to get distracted when lyrics are playing through the headphones. If you are listening to “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” (sorry…it’s almost Christmas, 🙂 but you are reading a history lesson on World War II, how well do you think you are going to remember what you just read after? Instead, I often enjoy listening to upbeat music without lyrics like this playlist on Youtube which I enjoy listening to. The upbeat rhythm keeps me moving at a good pace, and work gets done. Success!

2. Oh yes! I believe that delicious drink, be it coffee, tea, smoothie, milkshake, etc., has some magic in it. I feel like when you are sitting to do work, drinking something yummy makes you feel like you’re at a cafe in a pretty downtown city. I know I sound strange, but whatever you drinks are doing to help us get through our school work, thank a bunch.

3. You know how so many people are creating online courses these days? Do you wish some days that YOU could be the teacher instead of being the student? Well, say hello to the inner teacher inside of you! It’s actually pretty fun to pretend you are teaching an academic subject on a course for someone or that you are in the classroom. Try it!

4. This part is especially fun. This is the time to listen to your favorite song WITH lyrics, grab a drink re-fill, dance, or do whatever makes you happy. Just try to keep it to ten minutes or under so that you’ll still get your work done early.

5. The best part? Rewarding yourself. Do this after you finish your last subject and have checked it off. Some days it might be sitting to watch a show, other days it could be taking a walk with friends. Maybe you’ll decide to go thrift shopping or get your nails done! Whatever the reward, pick it before you work so that you have it to look forward to when you’re done!

There you have it, people! Five tips for the busy student. Now do a happy dance!

The Five Tips:

  1. Listen to BACKGROUND music.
  2. Drink something yummy.
  3. Pretend to teach the subject to someone (or a class).
  4. Take SHORT breaks and do something fun.
  5. Reward yourself.

A New Series Introduction

Hello. I am a fan of Kate from the Small Things blog. I love discovering products and resources. I love finding new, cool stuff. So I’m making this post. LOL!

Yeah…so I’m not quite sure what that was back there, but it does lead me right into today’s post for sure.

Have you ever visited her blog and discovered the links + loves posts? Awesome idea and I’ve seen plenty of bloggers doing that type of post. Since I love the idea so much, I also am going to attempt and “links + loves” type post every so often.

I find/enjoy/wish for so many things, and I thought it would be a great way to share what I’m finding with you in one post every now and then.

So this is sort of an introduction to the “series.” Keep your eye out for the first one which will be appearing very soon on this blog, Blogger Belle!

If you have time, I would love some feedback on what you think I should call this series too! Simply leave a comment below and I’ll be sure to check out your idea for the name.

Have a happy Monday all!!!

Blog Party!!!!!

Hello! Here to host another blog party because I love them!

Blog parties have been a great way for me to meet other awesome bloggers as well as get my own blog out into the community. It has really helped, and so I want to thank all of the people who have done one of those for doing them. Now I want to share this wonderful experience with all of you, so I hope you enjoy!

Here are some things to think about:

  1. Share a link and tell us about yourself and your blog 🙂
  2. Please don’t leave more than one link at a time. If you want to leave another link, please do that in another comment.
  3. For every link, you leave, try to check someone else out. Spread the love!
  4. If you want, feel free to follow me! 🙂 I love meeting new people and I would love to have you join me here on my blog. I love sharing things with you all!

Okay…share links, meet new people, and have fun! Looking forward to meeting you!

Enjoy,

Nyah

The Mystery Blogger Award

Yay! I was nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award! I’m so excited to be doing this post today. This is the first nomination I’ve done, so I hope I do it right 😉

First off, I want to send a huge thanks to Mark Anthony for nominating me! You can check out his blog here! Thanks for giving me this opportunity!!!

Next, I’ll go ahead and answer the questions given to me, then I’ll nominate some others, and finally, I’ll list my questions to those who I nominate. Sound good? Here goes 😉

First…the rules!

•Put the award logo/image on your blog. List the rules.
•Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
•Answer the questions you were asked.
•Nominate 5-10 people & notify.
•Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify).

Questions I Answer:

1. For your years of living, what was the biggest mistake or either challenge you had encountered and what are the things you learned from it?

2. If you’ll be embarrassed in front of many people, what will be the first thing you’ll feel and do?

3. What’s this song that best describes your life and you cry when listening to?

4. What will you prefer, being rich and powerful but feeling empty or be poor but loved and filled with happiness?

5. Is being educated enough to be respected?

My Answers:

  1. Okay…I’ve definitely had my fair share of making mistakes and working through challenges. Although this may not have been my biggest mistake, it definitely seemed like it then and it was not fun then. (It is pretty funny now though.) I was attempting to make a soda drink and had left the liquid to begin fermenting in a sealed bottle. Many days later, I decided to open the bottle and test it out. LOL. I began to open the seal…and then it happened. It EXPLODED!!! The drink flew straight in the air, hit the ceiling fan lightbulb and shattered it, flew across the floor, walls, and ceiling, and left the kitchen a wreck! Not only was it extremely frustrating, but I and my family had been cleaning the basement when it happened. So although it might not be completely a life lesson, it sure taught me to be thoughtful about what I was doing!!! (Hope you enjoyed :))
  2. I’ll feel sick and my hands will shake!
  3. Well, I don’t really cry over songs and movies, but I would say the song, “Control – Somehow You Want Me.” It’s by Tenth Avenue North. I enjoy parts of different songs though 🙂
  4. Be poor but filled with love and happiness!!!
  5. I would say that to be respected, you don’t have to be educated, but if you’re educated (or not), then that person should have qualities that make that person someone to respect.

Okay! Now onto my nominations! I have decided to let anyone of my followers interested in doing this nomination do it! You all deserve it 🙂

Here are the questions:

  1. What is your biggest pet peeve?
  2. What are five things that make you the happiest right now?
  3. Describe three significant memories from your childhood
  4. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
  5. What’s something you wish you were good at?

And there we go! I finally completed this nomination 🙂 Sorry it’s so late coming. I hope you enjoyed it and that you have a great day! And again…if you’d like to do the nomination, feel free!

Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll try to post soon 🙂
