Hey, friends! Hope you are staying warm and having a great weekend! Happy New Year to you all!
Today I wanted to share with you a really neat (and FREE) resource that I came across a while back. It’s a tool called Trello, and you can check it out here.
To put it in short terms, Trello is a free, online to-do list, organizing tool, planner, checklist, collaborating tool, etc. There are a ton of ways to customize it, and it’s a great place to organize your thoughts, ideas, pics, business schedules, blog post lists, and more.
You can also invite certain members to your “boards,” which is super helpful if you’re working with others on business. Only you and your members will be able to access these boards and customize them.
You can also go the private route and have a personal page with all your boards. For example, my page is a “team” page, but I keep it private and only I can access and customize my boards.
To give you an idea of what kinds of stuff you can use it for, here are a couple boards I have right now.
- A list/catch-all of resources and tools I like to have for easy access or to remember.
- A School Schedule where I list times and what needs to be accomplished in that time frame
- A Cleaning Routine
- A Business Board where I keep blog post ideas, inspiration, etc.
What makes the process easier is being able to (in each board,) create a list and then create a “card” beneath which is like an item under a list. For example, I created a board called “Business.” I then created lists within this board such as “Things to work on,” “To-do”, or something like that. Then, within these lists, I created “cards,” such as “blog about my favorite resource,” “design graphic for Pinterest,” or something like that.
Does that make any sense? I hope I’ve made myself clear. To give you a better understanding of what this resource is, check out this video. It may help you get an even better idea of what Trello is. (This is NOT me… but this is a great Youtuber who you should definitely check out!) 🙂 🙂 🙂
Cool, huh? The New Year has just begun, so now is the perfect time to try out Trello as many of try to get organized.
And there you have it! Trello is definitely a great resource which I highly recommend you check out. Have you tried Trello or love another free business/blog tool? Be sure to comment below and let me know. I’m always on the lookout for great (and free!) tools. 🙂
Have a great day!
