Super Simple Homemade Chocolate Pudding Recipe (Without Corn Starch!)

Hey, hey! How are you? Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. The sun is shining here where I live in Ohio, and it makes me so happy 🙂 It feels like it’s been grey for so long!!!

A couple days ago, I was craving something sweet and chocolatey, but we had nothing like that in the house. So, I was super creative ;), and decided to look up a pudding recipe because I thought it would be a nice and quick recipe.

I picked out a recipe and was just getting started when I realized that I didn’t have corn starch. Disappointed, I began to put away the ingredients. Then, I had an idea. What about a substitute?

So I typed something up like “easy pudding recipe without cornstarch,” and was happy to find this recipe.

Because I loved this recipe so much when I tried it, I had to share it with you. It’s super quick and easy plus it tastes absolutely rich and delicious!

Here is the recipe outline, but don’t forget to check out the recipe and post here where I first found it. I was excited to find that the blog was a wordpress blogger, too! Check out her blog here! I doubled this recipe (because I love chocolate…and because it’s not just me :)) Here’s the recipe!

Chocolate Pudding (Without Cornstarch)
Makes 4-5 portions
From Christian HomeKeeper
1/4 c flour
6 Tablespoons sugar
2 1/3 cups whole milk (I used 2% and it was fine)
dash of salt
4 Tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon good vanilla extract
Place all dry ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Gradually add the milk and butter, blending thoroughly with a stick blender.
Set over a low flame and stir until the pudding thickens and starts to bubble when you stop stirring for a moment.
Turn off heat. Cool slightly, blend in vanilla.

Again, this is NOT my recipe and this recipe was found at the link above, so please check out her blog and recipe post. It’s great. :)And there you have it! Because it’s so simple, you can whip this up real quick whenever you have a pudding craving. I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Please comment below and let me know what you think of this recipe, how you like it if you try it, or if you have any other pudding recipes you’d like to share with me!

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!!!
